Seaside fun and Beatles impressions for Godfrey Care’s day trippers!

Godfrey Care’s Station House and Field House services in Staffordshire made the most of the recent sunny spell with a fun-filled trip to Blackpool!

The people we support had a wonderful time taking in the sea air while experiencing the sounds and sights of the Pleasure Beach. They spent time enjoying the fairground rides and amusement arcades in Blackpool Pier then refuelled with a delicious lunch in one of the seafront restaurants.

One of the highlights of the day was a visit to Madame Tussauds, where the people we support and the service teams came face to face with a galaxy of stars and superheroes from the world of sport and entertainment.  They met a host of celebrities, from Brian Cox and Barbara Windsor and to Phil Taylor, Alan Carr and Thor. One of the people we support sat behind the Beatles’ famous drum kit and, without missing a beat, proceeded to do a fine impression of Ringo Starr!

Aaran Fryer, Registered Manager at Station House, said:

“It was a fabulous day out filled with laughter, fresh air, and great company! It was lovely to be joined by our friends from Field House, which made it an even more special occasion. It was heartwarming to see friendships bloom between people from different services. There was plenty of chatting and reminiscing, and even a few sing-alongs as we strolled and relaxed in the sun.  We’re incredibly grateful to the team at Field House for joining us and helping to make the day so memorable. We’re looking forward to more shared adventures, new friendships, and the wonderful spirit of togetherness that days like these bring!”
