The recent heatwave has given our services the opportunity to gather in their gardens for some fun in the sun!

Ashby House in Burton-on-Trent recently hosted a fabulous pool party, welcoming friends from nearby Field House for a lively afternoon of chat, laughter and splashing entertainment which fostered new connections and strengthened bonds between the two services. After a refreshing dip in Ashby House’s generously sized garden pool, everyone headed to the kitchen to dip into a delicious summer buffet serving a variety of seasonal favourites.

Nothing says summer quite like the sizzle of a barbecue, and when the warm weather arrives Godfrey Care services are always quick to exercise their licence to grill. That was certainly the case at Field House, where the support team cooked up a scrumptious al-fresco feast. Sun cream and salad cream were both squirted in sizable dollops! It was a memorable day, with games and live music adding to the occasion.

It’s been a heartwarming start to the summer – thank you to our support teams for all their excellent work in organising some fantastic events. Here’s hoping for many more days of sunny weather for our services to enjoy in the coming months!
