Councillor Bob Bullock, the Mayor of Broxtowe, visited The Meadows in Beeston last week to perform the ceremonial duties at our Open Day!
The Mayor cut the ribbon to officially open this purpose-built residential service which provides six self-contained environments for young people with high acuity and complex needs who are preparing to transition into adulthood.
We were delighted to welcome local authority commissioners and care professionals to the Open Day, which showcased our investment in design and specification as well as providing the opportunity to meet our service team and senior leadership.
Tracy Johnson, Godfrey Care Operations Director, said:
“It’s been an outstanding effort from all involved in the planning, design and construction of The Meadows. This exceptional service is the latest example of our unique provision of bespoke environments that empower individuals with complex needs to lead meaningful lives. The next phase of planning is all about the people we’ll be supporting at The Meadows – our teams engage closely with each individual, their clinical team, and their families to understand their needs, goals, and aspirations. That understanding will be the foundation of the person-centred care, support and life-skills plans that we develop for each person.”
Hayley Morgan, Godfrey Care Business Development Lead, said:
“A big thank you to everyone who attended our Open Day. It was thrilling to hear some extremely positive feedback from our guests. They were very complimentary about the attention to detail we have put into every aspect of this service, from the design of the bathrooms to the multidisciplinary support plans. We already have three individuals scheduled to move into The Meadows and we are looking forward to welcoming them from July through to September.”
Each individual living space has its own kitchen/kitchenette, living room, bedroom with full en-suite wet room. The property also has a communal kitchen and living room to promote social inclusion.
