Vision & Values
Who Are We?
Godfrey Care provides specialist residential and supported living services for individuals with learning disabilities, complex needs, and associated behaviours that challenge. We deliver high-quality, personalised support to maximise each individual’s independence, opportunities, and quality of life.
We are a social care provider supporting people with:
- Learning disabilities.
- Behaviours that challenge and/or complex needs.
- Associated diagnoses such as autism, mental health conditions, epilepsy, diabetes, and other conditions.
- Forensic backgrounds and those transitioning from hospital discharge.
We deliver a wide range of support, enabling individuals to live as independently as possible, with tailored care that meets their unique needs.
We work with individuals to help them live the life they choose, focusing on their potential rather than their disability or how their health needs have impacted their ability to do things.
Our Vision & Mission
Godfrey Care is a specialist social care provider with ambitious plans to support more people with complex needs in the years to come. We are different from other providers due to the professional experience, skills, and expertise of our team, our impressive, spacious, and robust environments, and our ability to be creative and innovative. We genuinely believe we can make a difference in people’s lives, and our mission statement, “Together, we will build your future,” embodies this ethos.
Our specialist teams use the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach. Our services, designed for a small number of residents, allow individuals to enjoy comfortable, high-quality environments that feel like typical family homes. In 2023, Godfrey Care introduced a transformative approach to delivering support for individuals who present significant risks to themselves, others, or their property. Our aim is to develop robust community environments with self-contained living spaces within residential care homes or supported living settings, offering 24-hour specialist support. These spaces ensure safety for our team while maintaining a warm, homely feel and focusing on re-enablement and restriction reduction.
At Godfrey Care, we support individuals to develop life skills and progress toward greater independence using the Active Support model. Our holistic, person-centred approach is tailored to each individual’s history, preferences, values, and goals. Support planning and outcomes are driven by the individual’s voice and aspirations, with collaboration from their circle of support and professionals.
We prioritise the least restrictive measures necessary to ensure individuals’ safety and well-being. Godfrey Care also emphasises the importance of positive risk-taking to enhance quality of life. We work in line with the principles of the Mental Capacity Act, empowering individuals to make decisions and co-produce robust support plans that reflect their needs and preferences.

Autism
We appreciate that each person on the Autism Spectrum has different needs and the training delivered through our partnership with NAPPI UK ensures staff are aware of the difficulties faced by individuals on the Autism Spectrum and more importantly how to effectively support these individuals in a positive and person centred way.
Epilepsy
Godfrey Care have ensured that staff are trained to effectively support individuals who live with Epilepsy. Training delivered by NAPPI UK ensures that staff are given the underpinning knowledge required to recognise different seizure types, identify triggers to seizures and to know how to support a person before, during and after a seizure.
