Godfrey Care services have continued their action-packed summer of activities with another trip to the coast, this time organised by Field House in Burton-on-Trent!

The gang headed to Skegness – a popular destination for Field House and many other Godfrey Care services – for a few days of fun and relaxation. The support team booked accommodation at a local caravan park, providing the perfect base for exploring the many attractions that “Skeggy” has to offer.

The Pleasure Beach was top of everyone’s list, with the people we support enjoying the amusement arcades, prize machines and fairground rides. A boat trip around Skegness Mini Port was another clear highlight, alongside classic seaside favourites including fish and chips, ice cream and strolls along the promenade. They also found time to go fruit picking at a local farm. Even a spell of rain failed to dampen spirits as everyone donned ponchos and carried on regardless, refusing to let the weather spoil the fun.

“What a holiday! They managed to pack so much into their time in Skegness. Some people on the trip were visiting the town for the first time, while others had been before, but by the end everyone agreed they wanted to come back again next year! A big thank you to the support team for making it possible – they did a wonderful job, and I think they enjoyed it every bit as much!”
