Families are a huge part of life at Godfrey Care. Creating opportunities for the people we support to spend quality time with their loved ones is an important part of what we do.

A recent summer party at Pine Bank in Chesterfield did exactly that, bringing together the people we support, their families and our support team for a fantastic day of chatting, sharing stories, telling jokes, playing games and simply enjoying each other’s company.

Occasions like these are always appreciated by the people we support, but we know just how much they mean to their families too.

One family member shared:

“It was a fantastic opportunity for my young children to spend quality time with their uncle, as well as meet his friends, their families and the dedicated staff who support them. The day gave us the opportunity to break new ground and achieve new milestones with my brother. It gave my children the chance to create precious memories with their uncle, strengthening a bond that means so much to our family.

Watching them laugh, play and simply enjoy being together was incredibly special. These are moments we will treasure forever. It made us all feel truly special and gave us a sense of belonging that I hadn’t experienced for over a decade. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Godfrey Care. Your kindness, care and attentiveness were greatly appreciated, and you made the day feel like one big family celebration. We are so grateful for everything you did to make the occasion so special.”

Another family member added:

“We had a lovely time at Pine Bank’s party day. We all enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful company, and it was so lovely to see so many smiles from our son.”
